A timeout error can occur for various reasons, including issues with internet routing – that is, the connectivity along the route between your computer, your internet provider, our data centre, and our web servers. Due to the nature of the internet, a small amount of packet loss is relatively common, typically well below 1%, and usually does not impact your internet experience.

Timeouts caused by packet loss can occur due to:

- Poor Wi-Fi signal

- Poor 4G/5G coverage

- ISP issues

- Hardware or software problems

- Internet routing issues

- Security software on your computer or device

- ISP security restrictions (many ISPs offer an 'Adult Content Filter', and their systems can occasionally get it wrong)

- Network congestion

However, if you are experiencing sustained time-out errors, occurring on a regular or persistent basis, it likely indicates a technical fault that should be investigated.

All our web servers are equipped with advanced security systems that may restrict access or block your IP address if your activity triggers a security alert.

For example, if there have been repeated unsuccessful login attempts, our firewall will temporarily block access from your IP address. This measure helps protect our web servers and your hosting service from malicious actors. We have configured the servers this way for your security. If someone is attempting to access your account, we want to ensure they can’t continue to try different passwords without consequences.

If you encounter issues accessing our web server, your website, or the hosting control panel, please check if your IP address is currently blocked. In your Maxer client area, navigate to Support -> Unblock IP. This page will check if your IP address is blocked, and in many cases, it will provide the technical reason for the block. If the issue is caused by an old/forgotten password, we have useful guides on how to update your passwords:
