This article is intended for customers who wish to close their Maxer account.

If you’ve decided to close your account, thank you for your business — we’ll be sorry to see you go. If you’ve experienced any issues with the service or support, please consider reaching out to our team first. We’d genuinely appreciate the opportunity to help and hopefully retain your business.

Here are the steps to fully close your account:

  1. Log in to the client area: https://my.maxer.com/login

  2. Go to the Domains page. Follow the steps in our cancellation guide to disable auto-renew on any domain names you no longer need. Once disabled, the domain will be left to expire, and in most cases will be fully deleted around 75–90 days after expiry.

  3. Go to the Services page. Use the same cancellation guide to cancel any hosting plans or SSL certificates. You can choose either immediate cancellation (within 24 hours) or end-of-billing cancellation (at the next renewal date).

Important: All cancellations are final! Make sure to download any data you might need from your hosting service before submitting the cancellation request.

  4. Go to the Invoices page. Download copies of any past invoices you or your accountant may need.

  5. Go to the Payment Methods page. Here you can remove any credit/debit card, stop a Direct Debit arrangement, or cancel a PayPal billing agreement.

If you created a PayPal subscription (prior to 13th June 2025), you can cancel it in your PayPal account here: https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/autopay/

  6. To request full account closure under the EU "right to be forgotten", contact our Billing & Accounts team. They’ll review your account and arrange the closure.

Please note: All services must be cancelled and terminated, and all domain names must be expired and deleted before we can proceed. In some cases, an immediate account closure may not be possible, and we may ask you to contact us again at a later date.
