Our DNS Nameservers
The nameservers below can be used for all domain names across our hosting network.
Nameserver 1 – ns1.maxer.com
Nameserver 2 – ns2.maxer.com
Nameserver 3 – ns3.maxer.com
We also provide alternative DNS nameservers, which are white-label and commonly used by businesses reselling our services. These are also recommended for clients with domain names that require zone validation (such as .de and .se names).
Nameserver 1 – ns1.fastsecurehost.com
Nameserver 2 – ns2.fastsecurehost.com
Nameserver 3 – ns3.fastsecurehost.com
On 26 December 2025, we acquired The Hosting Pool business. The technical infrastructure has been merged into our main network and all clients should now use the Maxer DNS nameservers listed above. All domain names registered with us have already been updated. If you have domain names registered elsewhere, please update them as soon as possible.
The old DNS nameservers for The Hosting Pool are listed below for reference only.
Nameserver 1 – ns1.thehostingpool.com
Nameserver 2 – ns2.thehostingpool.com
Nameserver 3 – ns3.thehostingpool.com
On 31 October 2022, we rebranded from Spiral Hosting to Maxer Host, and all domain names registered with us were updated at that time. Please use only the Maxer DNS nameservers listed above. If you have domain names registered elsewhere, please update them accordingly.
The old Spiral Hosting DNS nameservers are listed below for reference only.
Nameserver 1 – ns1.spiralhosting.com
Nameserver 2 – ns2.spiralhosting.com
Nameserver 3 – ns3.spiralhosting.com
Private Nameservers for Resellers
Some resellers use their own private nameservers, while others use our white-label nameservers (with no Maxer branding). If you are a reseller and unsure which option applies to you, please contact our support team.
To update the DNS nameservers for a domain name registered with Maxer Host, log in to your client area, go to the Domains page, find the domain in the list, click Manage Domain, and then select the nameservers option.
Why we advise against using third-party DNS nameservers
Some domain providers or IT consultants may prefer you to use their own nameservers, which we refer to as a third-party DNS service.
We are an authorised cPanel partner and use the industry-leading hosting control panel. cPanel automatically creates and maintains a wide range of DNS records required for hosting services, including website access, FTP, email, webmail, webdisk, SPF/DKIM for email deliverability, and AutoSSL for free SSL coverage.
When clients use third-party DNS services (for example, where an IT provider recommends “only pointing the A record”), we see a much higher volume of technical issues relating to email delivery, SSL certificates, and service connectivity. In most cases, these issues would not arise if our DNS nameservers were used.
Ultimately, the choice is yours. However, if you have chosen Maxer Host to provide professional hosting services, we would encourage you to benefit from the full service offering. Using third-party DNS typically requires manually maintaining a large number of records, whereas using our nameservers gives you full control, 24×7 support, and built-in redundancy across three locations: Dublin, London, and Chicago.
What about Wix / Squarespace DNS nameservers?
The guidance above still applies. Even if your website is hosted with another provider, we recommend that DNS and email services remain with us (in our humble opinion!).
For Wix websites in particular, we strongly recommend using the pointing method to connect your domain via DNS records rather than switching to Wix DNS nameservers.
Details of the pointing method can be found here: https://support.wix.com/en/article/connecting-a-domain-to-wix-using-pointing-5342238
