đ For account security, VPNs are blocked
From April 2026, there are new access limits for the Maxer client area. We now block access from VPN and proxy services to help protect our platform and our customers.
These networks are often linked to fraud, abuse and cyber-crime, and we have seen an increase in this activity. For this reason, we restrict access from shared or anonymised networks, including connections made through iCloud Private Relay, Cloudfare WARP, and consumer VPN services (such as NordVPN, ExpressVPN or Surfshark).
We believe any minor inconvenience is outweighed by the added protection this provides.

If you need to use a VPN as part of a corporate or government network, please email our team with your IP address and a brief explanation. We will review your access and make arrangements where appropriate.
đĄď¸ Security software and other proxy services
Some security tools, browsers and network services can also route your connection through shared or external networks. This can make your connection appear anonymous, with an IP address shared by many users, and it can look like youâre connecting from a completely different location or even another country.
From our side, this behaves in a similar way to a VPN or proxy, so access may be limited while these features are enabled.
đą iPhone and iPad users
Appleâs âiCloud Private Relayâ is a privacy feature that routes your connection through external networks. This means your real IP address is hidden. From our side, this works in a similar way to a VPN or proxy â for example, you might be in Ireland but our system will detect it as a connection from a data centre in another country.
You can disable it in your device settings:
