This article is intended for businesses and freelancers that want to setup Google Workspace to have all email delivered directly into Gmail.
If you want:
-
Gmail web interface only
-
Google’s spam filtering
-
Full Google ecosystem integration
Then the correct solution is to move your domain email to Google Workspace.
What changes when you move to Google Workspace
-
Email hosting moves from Maxer to Google.
-
Your MX and SPF records must be updated (e.g. using the Remote MX Wizard).
-
Google handles spam filtering and storage.
-
Billing for email moves to Google.
Maxer will continue hosting your website and any other services.
Step 1: Purchase Google Workspace
Sign up for Google Workspace using your domain name.
Create your user accounts inside Google Workspace.
Step 2: (Optional) Migrate existing email
You can import existing email from your Maxer mailbox using Google’s IMAP migration tools.
This step is handled inside the Google Workspace admin area.
Step 3: Update your MX records
Once your Google Workspace mailboxes are ready, log in to cPanel and use the Remote MX Wizard to add the DNS technical records:

This updates your DNS so email is delivered directly to Google.
Important
After switching to Google Workspace:
-
Devices must be reconfigured to use Google mail servers.
-
Your old Maxer mailboxes will no longer receive new mail.
-
We do not manage Google Workspace accounts internally.
- Support related to the email service will be mainly provided by Google.
