These are the steps to transfer your domain name from another provider to Maxer:

  1. Disable the registrar-lock on your domain name. This must be done at the current provider, often in their client area, or by contacting their support team.
  2. Request the EPP transfer code from the current provider. This is like a password to transfer a domain name to a new provider. (see Domain Transfers - EPP Transfer Codes for more information)
  3. Place an order to transfer the domain name to Maxer on our wesite at https://my.maxer.com/cart.php?a=add&domain=transfer
  4. On the order page, you'll be asked to enter the EPP transfer code. Keep the code handy - you might need it later.
  5. Complete the order process and checkout.
  6. We will start the domain transfer process. For most domain extensions (such as .com) you will receive an email requesting you to approve the domain transfer. In the email, there are two links: one to view the legal documents and one to approve the domain transfer. You must click the appropriate link to approve the domain transfer and you may be asked to enter the EPP code to approve the domain transfer.
  7. Once you have approved the transfer, the current provider has up to 7 days to release the domain name to Maxer. Typically a domain transfer is completed within 2-3 days, but they can take up to 7 days depending on the current provider and domain extension.
  8. You will receive an email confirmation once your domain has been transferred to Maxer, then you will be able to manage the domain in our client area.

If there’s an issue with a domain transfer order - for example, if the registrar lock hasn’t been disabled or the EPP code is invalid - our sales team will contact you by email. You’ll have at least 7 days to resolve the issue and reply. There’s no need to place a new order. Simply reply to the sales team with the information requested. Our team are always there to help.
