MAXER offers over 350 different domain extensions through partnerships with various registrars and registries around the world.

For example, for .ie domain names we’re accredited directly with the IE Domain Registry, and for .uk domain names we’re accredited with Nominet UK. These registries manage their own validation and renewal processes, and no verification email is required for those domains.

For many other international extensions — including .com, .net, and .org — we work with the Tucows group (which operates the brands OpenSRS, eNom, and EPAG). These domains follow a verification process managed by Tucows.

Tucows oversees the verification process by sending email notifications to the domain owner. In most cases, these emails will include our company name and are legitimate.

When you register, transfer, or modify one of these domains, it may trigger an email asking you to verify your domain ownership details.

These emails will have the subject line: VERIFICATION REQUIRED – Please verify your domain name(s) as soon as possible

They’ll ask you to click a link to verify your domain ownership details, which is a requirement of the registry contract. There is usually a time limit of 14 days to complete the verification, and you’ll receive reminder emails during this period.

The verification link will begin with: https://approve.domainadmin.com/ – this is a legitimate website operated by our partner.

If you’ve recently registered, transferred, or modified your domain name, the email is expected and you should complete the verification process. Nevertheless, please always be cautious. There are many phishing scams in circulation, and you should ensure the link is genuine and goes to domainadmin.com (and not any other website).

Below is an example of a verification email:

If you’re unsure whether the email is legitimate or intended for you, please forward the full email to our support team. We’ll be happy to check it for you and help you complete the verification process.
